It is proven to help individuals with special needs and/or learning challenges - such as those in the Autism community - to understand and manage the daily events. StepStones provides the following advance features that are lacking in existing picture schedules: 1) Thumbnail view of all steps in an activity allows the individual to browse the individual steps easily. 2) Progress tracking is made possible by checking off each step, and moving the task icon from left pane to right pane, much like in traditional activity book 3) Each task is accompanied with name and brief description, thus stimulating word recognition and reading skills. 4) The software pre-defined sequence eliminates possibility of information being lost, damaged, altered or re-ordered. Individuals who have special needs in verbal/expressive communication. those who are in the autistic spectrum, or even individual learning English as a second language, will find this application offering great step-stones toward success.
